Relax, you are in good company

Are you an impatient person? I know it is a bit of a strange question to ask you today. To be honest, I am a very impatient person when it comes to driving, standing in line and finding a parking spot. My wife would say “amen” to that. It is something I need to work on. You might be different from me and as you read this, you have probably thought of things that make you impatient.

One comment I read recently put it into perspective for me. It read, “Relax, you are in good company”.  As I pondered this, I am reminded of the song “every step I take, I take with you, you are my way Jesus” and that is what its all about. Even though I am alone in my vehicle, I am in good company, because Jesus is sitting right next to me. I feel a bit embarrassed as I think of it. The reactions I have given, the things I have said, while Jesus was sitting right next to me.

“Relax, you are in good company”, also gives me encouragement for today. The things I have done are in the past, but the things of today and tomorrow can be my reflection of walking with Jesus. Yes, I’ll mess up, but I know Jesus is right beside me. I will praise Him for that, today.

Thank you so much for this!  I didn’t think of the saying that way before, but I will always now!  I love that-we ARE in AWEsome company!  -And I hope this constantly reminds me of how I am acting and speaking, for too often it is easy to let things slide . . .  Our God is always beside us, a wonderful thought, yet also one that should spur us on in our Christ-filled lives!
